36 Reaman, G. Elmore. The Trail of the Huguenots in Europe, the United States, South Africa, and Canada.
Baltimore: Genealogical Publishing Company, 1966.
Octavo, hardcover (orange cloth), gilt letters, 318 pp. Very Good-, with two small, neat, former-owner stamps; in a Good+ dust jacket with soiling. From dust jacket: Here is the fascinating story of the great exodus of Huguenots from France at the end of the seventeenth century and of their subsequent dispersal to places as widespread as the United States, Canada, South Africa, and Europe. While the digging out of family roots of other groups has already taken place to a large extent, it has remained for Dr. Reaman to gather this information about the almost two million French Protestants and their descendants and to present it in The Trail of the Huguenots as the first coherent account of the Huguenot Dispersion. In the main Dr. REaman's book is devoted to those Huguenots who went to American and Canada. As early as the latter half of the sixteenth century there were Huguenot settlemtns in South Carolina, and in the next hundred years Huguenot families settled in North Carolina, Virginia, New york, Pennsylvania, and New England. From 1534 until 1633 Canada was practically Huguenot controlled, and in the next hundred years settlements were established in Upper Canada (Ontario), Nova Scotia, and Quebec...

39 Shambach, LeRoy F. My Ancestors and Genealogical History of the Shambach Family.
Sunbury, Pennsylvania: Published by the Author, 1968.
Octavo, red cloth (hardcover), gilt letters, xv + 282 pp. Near-Fine, with small former-owner bookplate. From Preface: ... I always felt that it was not my lot to undertake such a momentous task, having only attained an elementary education in the common school which I attended five months a year, but I also realized that the history of our ancestors and their descendants must be properly preserved and transmitted to posterity. So I suppose what we lack in once sense, can be made up in desire, determination, and perseverance. I have labored many months in trying to make this little volume as nearly correct as possible...The preparation of this volume has been a tedius task, but also a pleasant work...If this publication shall serve to bring the various branches of the families mentioned closer together and shall create in them a greater interest in each other, and make them more solicitous for the good names of these numerous families, surely then, something will have been accomplished in the right direction.
