Octavo, original vellum, [xvi], 936, [xxii] pp. Woodcut illustrations. Fabricius (1533-1619), a teacher of Harvey at Padua, is considered to be one of the pioneers of modern anatomy. Good; the text shows some damp-staining, with two small worm holes in top margin of first 63 leaves. There is an inscription on the verso (reverse) of the title page dated 1739 that bleeds through. Bears the bookplate of Gordon W. Jones of Falmouth, Virginia, well-known collector of the history of medicine and Renaissance science. International orders will require additional postage fees.
